Are you sick of crime in South Norfolk? Now is your chance to do something!

There will be a Neighborhood Watch Block Captains Network Safety Fair and Forum at the South Norfolk Library Community Meeting Room in the Gateway Building at 801 Poindexter St. in South Norfolk from 7-8 p.m. Jan. 26.

The meeting will include a meet-and-greet with police representatives, a summary of block captain duties, and information about reporting crime activity and getting neighbors involved.

A Safety Forum will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a discussion of crime trends, classifications and investigations.

Neighbors can apply for volunteer block captain positions with the South Norfolk Neighborhood Watch toward the end of the meeting.
