UPDATE ON PETITION:

The petition with 621 Signatures on it was presented to Chesapeake City Council Tuesday night. It was well received and Mayor Krasnoff expressed to the manager to get with the appropriate departments and find out if this is something that can be done.

Councilman Davis then asked that the Manager look into it and see if funds can be transferred to the Capital Fund to make this happen and report back to council in 45 days on it’s findings.

Vice Mayor Rick West then added that there were plans for South Norfolk that he was seen from the Economic Development and suggested a Work Session with that Department to further discuss the moving of the 2nd precinct.
